Blippar Wins The Bull

We are proud to announce that Blippar has truly taken the Bull by its horns and has won the ‘Young Bull’ award earlier this month! The prestigious White Bull Summit was held in Barcelona, where we were honoured for our growth and creativity in the European Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector. Unfortunately we could not attend the Summit but from what we heard many called it the best Pathways yet.

The White Bull summits are a time to celebrate European innovation and to bring together the best in technology and media from entrepreneurs to innovators and investors. The Summit is renowned for seeking out pioneering companies and offering those businesses a supportive community of media experts, journalists and analysts. The award finalists fell into three categories:

• Yearlings - firms that have received or are seeking angel/seed rounds
• Young Bulls - early stage companies, firms that have received or are seeking Series A financing
• Longhorns - post series A firms

With all that the Bully Awards has to offer there was an understandable competitive pool of over 500 entries all seeking to win the title of Europe’s next tech star. An assembly of some of the industry’s top entrepreneurs, corporate development executives and global investors were eagerly ready and waiting to hear who would be chosen as the next young beast of technological innovation. The victorious results encompassed a real moment of accomplishment for all of us at Blippar – it symbolised a very important milestone in our Odyssey-like adventure of turning all things physical into all things blippable.
