Can We Blipp it? Yes We Can

The idea of blipping started out as a pub joke about changing the Queen's face on a £20 note to a digital caricature of someone else’s face. Who would have known that weeks later (and a substantial amount of intense developing) would have seen the birth of our first blipp that brought the monarch's face into the realm of augmented reality! Since then we have worked on many exciting campaigns and have partnered with some of the largest brands in the world such as Coca-Cola, Cadbury, L’Oreal, Unilever and Condenast.

Almost a few weeks after celebrating our two-year anniversary we received a call from CNBC, asking us to feature as the first episode of the new season of ‘The Business Class’, hosted by James Caan, a hugely successful entrepreneur. The overall aim of the show is to give advice to some of the most pioneering and promising SME’s on how they can further their business models and boost profits.

Needless to say, we had a great experience participating in the show and discussing Blippar with two well-respected business experts such as James and Lisa [Lisa Thomas, CEO, M&C Saatchi Group, who assisted James Caan on the programme]. They both raised some very interesting questions and made great suggestions about how to tackle our business challenges.

With more than 3.5 million users on our platform and 750 partnerships with over 70% repeat business, we are more then ever ready to tackle all these challenges and for our verb ‘to blipp’ to become part of the every day vocabulary. So stay tuned for more exciting blipps!
