Blippar heads to Berlin to make FIPP interactive
We were thrilled to be back at the FIPP Digital Innovators’ Summit, this year held in Berlin, one of the world’s hippest cities. The theme of ‘digital innovators’ is, for us, spot-on: at Blippar we pride ourselves on being the truly innovative force that makes print media digitally interactive.
This year, to showcase precisely how our technology enlivens print, we brought the whole FIPP Innovation Publication to life: the front of the annual was blippable, as were more than half of its 128 pages. Blippees could even put their own face on the cover of this industry-leading magazine, then tweet the resulting photo for the world to see.
The whole event had a terrific turnout, with the media industry’s most influential players in attendance: we caught outstanding presentations from Facebook, Buzzfeed, Immediate Media and the Financial Times.
And with Berlin rapidly securing its position as Europe’s coolest start-up capital, the whole summit had a wonderful buzz. And the epicentre of the excitement? Our hotel, Soho House, where most people could be found hanging out by the pool hoping to spot the next Mark Zuckerberg….
