Meet the Guardians Of The Galaxy! (They're hiding in this movie poster)
It stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Glenn Close, Benecio del Toro and - crikey, as if that lot weren’t enough - Bradley Cooper.
It’s jam-packed with high-speed drama, earth-shattering explosions, seat-leaping frights, ROFL-inducing laughs, kick-ass drama, love and warmth, cracking music and heaps of tension.
And it’s going to be the most megalicious summer blockbuster of 2014. Trust us.
But if you (like us) can’t wait until the 31 July UK release date to see Guardians Of The Galaxy, get an exciting sneak preview of the action by blipping the film’s interactive poster, found in cinemas across the country.
Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name (who first hit newsagent shelves in January 1969), the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie by Marvel Studios is going to be a loud and thrilling extravaganza… so we made its blipp, commissioned by Disney, owners of Marvel Studios, comparably so.
Our brief was to make the Guardians Of The Galaxy point of sale posters work a bit harder and introduce people to the individual characters and their back stories. The client wanted them to be more valuable, and to launch, via blipping, a number of exciting interactive experiences that would encourage film fans to engage a bit more with the large and impressive artworks.
The colourful poster blipp - which took around four months from brief to execution, went live on 23 June and will be in UK cinemas until 23 August - unleashes a number of spine-tingling mobile experiences, including the film’s official trailer; plenty of juicy behind-the-scenes footage; exclusive interviews with the cast; the option to buy the DVD or Blu-ray from Amazon when it’s released, and fascinating biographies of each of the Guardians: Gamora, Quill, Rocket, Drax and Groot.
As well as spectacular bonus footage and never-before-seen star interviews, film poster blipps offer a terrific number of content options, from cinema timetables and ticket booking web-links, to fun (and supremely shareable) photobooth opportunities - who wouldn’t want to pose on a film poster beside Jennifer Lawrence or Zac Efron, after all? - and themed mobile games.
