Welcome to the Pantene Stylers beauty school... blipp a bottle to enrol!
Global haircare experts Pantene have collaborated with fashion gurus Refinery 29, Target department stores and Blippar’s visual browser to create a superb, interactive campaign offering exclusive tips, reviews and coupons to fans of their brand - specifically their Pantene Stylers product.
Using your mobile to blipp 10 different Pantene Stylers products - including hairspray, sculpting gel, Argan oil serum and blow dry protector spray - launches a colourful blipp featuring two different digital experiences: ’in-store’ and ’at-home’.
The blipp’s features include product reviews and descriptions, exclusive beauty tips from Refinery 29, the chance to download the Target Cartwheel mobile app, a coupon for Pantene Stylers at Target, and direct links to the websites of Pantene, Refinery 29 and Target.

Blippar calls-to-action alerting people to the presence of the blipp can be found on large Pentene Stylers displays in Target stores across the US.
Additional features to be added soon include how-to videos from Refinery 29's Beauty Prep School, and a virtual try-on of Pantene Stylers pre-styled hair styles; perfect for sharing with friends on social media.
The Pantene Stylers campaign is an excellent example of a brand effectively using Blippar to showcase their digital offering to customers while helping fans engage more fully with their products.
The AR mobile exerience offers consumers something exclusive, valuable, innovative, entertaining, personalised... and just a little bit extra from that which they are usually given from a bottle of shampoo.
There’s been great interaction with the bottles so far, and we can’t wait to see how the campaign develops over the coming months.
