Being the British consul general of New York has its perks, as we saw last night at his personal residence in the Upper East Side, where New York City-based Blippar unveiled an augmented reality portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton. While on the surface the event seemed to be about the art on the wall, which included a signed print of Andy Warhol's Queen of England, the real aim was to highlight the business relationship between the motherland and her former colonies.
