The Royal British Legion Partner with Blippar to Enhance Poppy Appeal with Visual Discovery and Augmented Reality Technology
We're very honoured to be working with The Royal British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal this month. The Poppy Appeal supports all current and former British military personnel, and their dependents.
All posters and ads in this year's campaign have been enhanced by Blippar, offering an interactive experience to drive donations and unlock bonus content.
Campaign posters, ads, and newspaper mastheads that feature the poppy image, will all be blippable. Content includes compelling stories, a poignant video, a link to donate, the campaign gallery, and an opportunity to get involved with the Legion's social campaign #MyPoppy.
"It's great to get Blippar's involvement for this year's Poppy Appeal campaign," said Gary Ryan, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Legion. "It's an exciting way of bringing the page to life, enabling us to talk to more people about our vital work in helping the Armed Forces community."
"As a British company, it's an honour for us to highlight the fantastic work The Royal British Legion does," said Omaid Hiwaizi, Blippar's President of Global Marketing. "Innovation is in their DNA, and this approach to engage new audiences through emerging technology is industry-leading - particularly the young and those who aren't connected to the Armed Forces."
