Max Chilton (and Blippar) select artist of new logo design collaboration
World Endurance Championship driver and former Formula One ace Max Chilton (and Blippar) have selected the artist of a logo design collaboration for the racer’s new helmet.
Blippar and Crown Talent & Media Group partnered with Talenthouse, a creative collaboration platform and community of artists across art, design, fashion, film, and music, on a creative collaboration inviting visual artists to design the new logo for World Endurance Championship and British racing driver Max Chilton, above.

Max, who drivers in the World Endurance Championship for the Nissan team at the wheel of their stunning LMP1 GT-R LM Nismo has chosen the selected artist to design his new official logo, to be featured on his racing helmet and digital assets.
The international collaboration was organised by Talenthouse, and all ideas submitted were judged by Chilton himself and Blippar Chief Creative Officer and co-founder Steve Spencer.
The selected artist’s logo, below, was designed by Greek graphic designer Fotis Papadopoulos, will itself be blippable, and was selected from over 400 submitted ideas.

Speaking about the competition, Max said: ‘It's been great fun going through all the submissions, I can't believe how many high quality creative ideas we received and I'm really grateful for everyone who has taken the time to submit their idea. When we started this process I had no idea we would get such a huge response with so many submissions from all over the world - there are a lot of talented people out there.
‘There was one design that stood out for me and nailed the brief of smart, sophisticated and future-proof. Fotis got the balance just right and his use of a simple, modern design really caught my eye. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks on my race helmet, which I'll debut at Le Mans. A massive thanks to all creatives that took part.’

Blippar judge Steve Spencer said: ‘We have been overwhelmed by the quality and breadth of creative interpretations to the brief that Max originally defined. It was fantastic to see how individuals creatively approached this from different angles, trying to consolidate the essence of Max into a strong, unique and memorable visual identity.
‘We felt that Fotis managed to capture the clean and dynamic elements we were looking for in an identity for Max. Echoing Max's racing pedigree with the use of line forms with timeless simplicity made this a standout creative idea for us. The identity structure and typographic treatment will provide much flexibility in its usage. I'm sure Max will be thrilled with his new identity.’
The helmet was debuted at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hr Race at the weekend.
